Does your cat spend the vast majority of her time sleeping? We suspect the answer to that question is yes. Is Fluffy’s main goal in life to just sleep as much as possible? Actually, your feline buddy may have more lofty ambitions. A Fort Collins, CO vet lists some of them below.
As mentioned above, cats spend a rather ridiculous amount of time sleeping. By the time Fluffy is a senior, she may snooze as much as 20 hours a day! Your pet will definitely put a lot of time and, well, probably not too much effort, into lengthening her snoozing sessions.
Our feline friends are very cute when they’re feeling frisky and playful. Fluffy spends a lot of time trying to nail those tricky butt-wiggle/run/jump/pounce/roll/meow combinations. She also likes to work on her people-ambushing skills.
Train The Humans
Kitties have a way of wrapping their owners around their cute little paws. If Fluffy doesn’t have you trained to feed or pet her on demand, she probably has that on her to-do list. She may also want to teach you to pick her up when she rubs against your legs, or put her favorite blanket on a chair for her. Stretch goals may include offering tuna and catnip upon request.
Proper Fur Placement
People owned by kitties are constantly finding fur all over their clothes and furniture. This isn’t a coincidence. Fluffy may be trying to work on consistently leaving fur in the proper places and amounts.
Health And Beauty
Cats do spend a pretty significant chunk of their time grooming themselves. Fluffy is certainly interested in always looking her best!
Have you ever wondered if your kitty deliberately leaves hairballs in the most inconvenient spots? She may be! (Note: if your furry pal frequently gets hairballs, ask your vet about using preventative care products.)
Okay, admittedly this seems like a stretch, right? Are these cute little furballs actually trying to control us? Actually, there is some evidence that yes, they are. Fluffy is certainly very good at meowpulating us. After all, she managed to convince the ancient Egyptians to treat her as a deity! In fact, kitties have managed to claim June 24th as Cat World Domination Day!
