The first component of wellness care involves measuring your pet’s current health. Once or twice a year, our doctors will examine your companion thoroughly, checking the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and skin to make sure everything looks good. We’ll then move on to check your pet from the inside, listening to their heartbeat and lungs to be certain everything is functioning as it should. We’ll also discuss such important matters as nutrition and weight control, parasite protection, behavior and anything else we deem to be important in keeping your loved one happy and healthy.
The second component of wellness care is managing your pet’s health over time. We’ll take a number of preventative measures, such as customized vaccinations, to help keep your companion safe from many of the dangers that he or she will encounter in everyday life. We’ll also look for any signs of potential medical problems so that they can be addressed immediately, before they have a chance to develop into something more serious and costly. This will help to extend the number of years your pet can enjoy and improve the quality of those years exponentially.
Last but certainly not least, when we are able to work with your pet on a regular basis, we are able to get to know you both on a more personal level. The better we know and understand your companion’s needs, the more precise and effective a health care plan we can develop that will support his or her wellbeing from birth through the senior years.
Don’t wait until your pet is sick to bring them in to see us! Make a commitment to ongoing wellness care and give your loved one the gift of a lifetime of good health.
