At Moore Animal Hospital, we believe strongly in giving back to the community in which we live and work. Our team is passionate, not just about animal health care, but also about making as big an impact on the world around us as possible.
Each year, we select a local pet-related charity which we will support and raise funds for. This year, we are proud to be working with the Veteran’s Puppy for Life Organization.
This worthy cause helps U.S. Armed Forces Veterans who suffer from post-traumatic-stress syndrome (PTSD) by matching them with much needed service dogs. The puppies are united with a veteran when they are just eight weeks of age, enabling both to work through training together. Not only does this ensure that the puppy learns everything necessary to become a service dog, but the time spent training together creates incredible bonds.
Since 2015, the organization has helped 16 veterans in the Colorado area living with PTSD graduate their puppies to become service dogs. There are currently more than a dozen additional veterans and puppies in training.
As a show of our support for this amazing organization, Moore Animal Hospital is pledging a donation goal of $20,000 in 2018. We can’t do it without your help! If you’d like to learn more about how you can help make a difference in the life of a veteran, please contact us. Or, if you prefer, you may donate directly by visiting www.vetpuppyforlife.org.
